ScanDragon — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Summary
ScanDragon does not require an account and does not collect personal data. Your collection, wishlist, price history, and settings are stored only on your iPhone. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics.
Data that stays on your device
Cards you add, their condition and quantity, your wishlist, the daily value history of your collection, and app settings are stored locally on your iPhone. If you delete the app or use Settings → Delete all data, this information is erased. We cannot access it.
Card photos
When you scan a card or a binder page, the photo is sent to our server, which uses an artificial intelligence service (OpenAI) to read the card name, set, and collector number. The app asks for your consent before the first scan, and you can withdraw it in Settings. Photos are used only for this identification. They are not stored and are not linked to you. Point the camera at the card only.
Card data and prices
Card details and prices are loaded from TCGdex, a public card database that reports TCGplayer and Cardmarket prices. These requests contain only the card or set you are looking up. Links to TCGplayer and eBay open in Safari and are governed by those sites' policies.
Camera permission
The camera is used only to photograph cards when you tap the shutter. Nothing is recorded in the background.
Purchases
ScanDragon Pro is billed through your Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases with an anonymous identifier. We never receive your name, email, or payment details.
CSV export
If you export your collection, the file is created on your iPhone and shared only where you choose to send it.
Children
ScanDragon does not collect data from any user, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "last updated" date and publish the new version on this page.
