BP AI — Privacy Policy

The short version

BP AI stores your blood pressure readings only on your device. There is no account, no server run by us, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We cannot see, sell, or share your readings, because we never receive them.

What is stored, and where

Everything you log in BP AI (readings, quiz answers, reminder times, settings, and whether you agreed to scanning) is stored locally on the device using the operating system's app storage. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Camera scanning and OpenAI

Camera scanning is optional. Before the first scan, the app asks for your permission and explains what will be sent. If you agree and take a photo of your monitor's display, that photo is sent directly from your device over HTTPS to OpenAI (the GPT-4o mini vision API) so the numbers on the display can be read.

We send only that photo. We do not send your name, an account identifier, your reading history, or any other personal profile. The photo is used only to return systolic, diastolic, and pulse values for you to confirm before saving. OpenAI processes the request under its API data policies and does not use API customer content to train its models.

Nothing is sent anywhere if you enter readings manually. You can withdraw scan consent in Settings at any time.

Apple Health

If you enable Apple Health sync, readings are written to Apple Health on your device. You can revoke this access at any time in the Health app under Sources.

Reminders

Optional measurement reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; no reminder data leaves your phone.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and receipts, never blood pressure readings or photos. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies.

Not medical advice or connected hardware

BP AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not pair with, connect to, or control any blood pressure monitor or other medical hardware. Scanning is a photograph of a display you already own. Always confirm scanned numbers against your monitor and consult a clinician about your blood pressure.
