Bloom — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
The short version
Bloom was built so that period and cycle information never leaves the phone. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics trackers, and no advertising SDKs. We cannot see, sell, or share cycle data, because we never receive it.
What is stored, and where
Everything you log in Bloom (period days, moods, symptoms, notes, your first name and settings) is stored locally on the device using the operating system's app storage. Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also erase everything at any time from Settings > Delete all data.
The "Ask Bloom" chat
When you send a question in the chat, the text of that question (and nothing else — no name, no cycle data, no identifiers) is sent securely to our server, which forwards it to an AI service (OpenAI) to produce an age-appropriate answer. Questions and answers are not stored on our server and are not used to train AI models. Chat history shown in the app lives only on the device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate subscriptions; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase receipts, never health data. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details.
Children's privacy
Bloom is designed to be safe for younger users. Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or lose. A parent or guardian should review this policy with their child. If you believe a child has somehow transmitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Not medical advice
Bloom, including the AI chat, provides general educational information only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk to a trusted adult and a doctor or nurse about health concerns.
